#Turtle or #Tortoise : #Virginiawildlife in Our Backyard

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

On this Sunday evening, we notice this turtle (or tortoise) in our backyard crawling along at a steady pace! We know its not a box turtle and noticed it had a long tail hence either a turtle or a tortoise!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I saw a few drops of blood on its shell...how it got there I don't know but it doesn't top this turtle from crawling to his destination!
 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Within an hour, this turtle (or tortoise) made it across the back yard into the grassy alley way between the homes!! Safe travels to you! I hope to capture move wildlife on my smart phone and post on my blog and social media!

Until next time...

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I already like the scent of Hair Food Kiwi Dry Shampoo plus its paraben and sulfate free which awesome for hair products!!
(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I love using beneficial oils on my face for cleansing or moisturizing so I am excited to try out Burt's Bees Facial Cleaning Oil to see how effective on removing makeup and dirt! And I love using coconut and argan oils on my dry skin including my face!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I really need a night cream which since I have several day creams and so I will be testing out  Andalou Age Defying Night Repair Cream to see how well my dry skin stays moisturized after usage!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

After reading countless reviews and blogs, I finally get to try out Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream on my dry skin to find out the buzz about this cream!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I have tried their moisturizer before but now I get to try out CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser on my face! :)

I think I received this product before either in another Target Beauty or Birchbox but I am happy to get another Derma e Firming DMAE Moisturizer to use again!!

I have tried Amorpacific affordable brand, Laneige, which is carried by Target, from their BB Foundation and now I get to try Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream for my face which I personally can't wait to try!

I have tried several L'Oreal Paris products but I have yet to try L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Towelettes which I am glad to receive in this box!

#Hairreview Featuring #RandCo #DeathValley #DryShampoo and #AtlantisShampooandCondition

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

This week has been crazy with so much going on stuff happening that was beyond my hands and needed to do a little #TLC for my hair after all the necessary appointments were handled!! I looked into my beauty samples that I had decided not only to use my R + Co  Death Valley Dry Shampoo before my appointments and then used the R + Co  Atlantis Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioning at the end of the day!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

First, I used this dry shampoo in the morning by sectioning parts of hair, sprayed, massaged, and style as usual!! This dry shampoo works great with a light fragrance, no residual dry flakes like other dry shampoo brands, and refreshed my hair and scalp!! And since I have dry hair and scalp this formula doesn't dry it out!! If you have busy or have health issues and can't immediately wash your hair at the moment, this R + Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo is a life saver!!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

At the end of the day, I was able to shampoo and condition with this sample packet thanks to fellow beauty swap exchange a month ago!! R + Co Moisturizing Shampoo and Condition worked great for my relaxed and dry hair/scalp!! The shampoo was a quarter amount which was not enough to wash my shoulder length hair so I concentrated near my scalp area and then rinse! Light suds which is good for a sulfate-free shampoo, light fragrance, and felt some moisturizing ingredients on my hair strands! Next I used the conditioner which was a quarter amount so I focused on the scalp, comb and wait 15 minutes (not the advised 10 mins) for my hair type, and rinsed clean! My hair felt conditioned without being weighed down by heavy nor greasy ingredients!! And just like the shampoo, the conditioner had a light fragrance! After blow drying straight, my hair felt cleaned and conditioned for the evening!! And these products are made without petroleum/mineral oil, parabens, sulfate free, gluten free, vegan, and offer UV protection!! I can't to try more of this brand for my hair again!

Until next time..

#MayBirchbox Featuring #VitaLiberata,#SuperGoop, #Jouer, and More

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

May is finally here although it has mostly been cool and wet for Spring month but nothing brightens my day than receiving my Birchbox in the mail especially after coming home from another job interview!! I got out of my clothes and started to check out not only my selected sample but the other four surprise goodies in a special box designed with Keds!! This month's theme is all about getting outside for adventure and sunscreen/SPF awareness so everyone is receiving some form of sun protection! And now for my May Birchbox below!!
(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Inside my May Birchbox includes:

Goldfaden MD Doctor's Scrub (Full-size, $38- 75)

JOUER Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick in Lychee (Full-size, $18)

Obliphica Professional Seaberry Hair Serum (Fine to Medium) (Full-size, $38)

Supergoop! Sun Defying Sunscreen Oil with Meadowfoam SPF 50 (Full-size, $34)

Vita Liberata Fabulous Self Tanning Gradual Lotion (Full-size, $30)

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Normally I don't do "matte" formulas in lipsticks since most tend to be very drying to dry lips but this JOUER Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick in Lychee (Full-size, $18) was different in providing this cover without drying my lips out!!
 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Love the feel of this cream liquid which I applied on my lips with doe foot applicator and dried to matte formula! Plus, I love the cupcake scent which makes it very irresistible and the coloring flatters my medium/tan skin tone, too!!
 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I love trying out facial masks and scrubs and was very excited to try out  Goldfaden MD Doctor's Scrub (Full-size, $38- 75)!! Containing ruby crystal and hyaluronic acid (hydration!!) I feel like an Empress using a the luxe exfoliator removes dead skin and hydrates my skin cells!! Plus, it has very little to no fragrance which is great for those with sensitive dry skin that can't handle too much fragrance/scents!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Although I have seen other beauty and hair bloggers comment on this serum, I am finally going to try Obliphica Professional Seaberry Hair Serum (Fine to Medium) (Full-size, $38) on my new growth/relaxed hair!! I will post new details soon about my hair results!

UPDATE:

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

After shampoo and conditioning, I tried this hair serum as the only styling aid to work through my damp hair which has about one inch of new hair growth after the last relaxer touch up in three months!! I use a generous potion instead of the "few drops" for my medium hair type, comb through, and then blow dried straight!! My hair was smooth and manageable without a heavy nor greasy feeling! This hair serum is good but I will stick with my favorites from Birchbox including Number 4 Haircare, Amika, and Beauty Protector!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I have tried Supergoop products in the past via Birchbox, but this Supergoop! Sun Defying Sunscreen Oil with Meadowfoam SPF 50 (Full-size, $34) is new to me and can't wait try it out!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I have tried several self-tanners in the past but I selected this sample back in April for my May Birchbox and I will let you know of the results of  Vita Liberata Fabulous Self Tanning Gradual Lotion (Full-size, $30) soon!!

UPDATE:
  (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Today I tried this tanner on test spot rubbing the lotion in the section between the wrist and half-way up the lower arm!! After a few hours not a noticeable difference in coloring of my lower arm area but this is a gradual self-tanner plus it has a light to barely there fragrance which I love in case I want to wear a perfume after the application dry up! I will keep you posted with my results!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

So far, I am loving all the samples that I have received in my May Birchbox and can't wait to try out the hair serum, oil spray, and self tanner in the future!!

Until next time...

#LifewithNathan #Art with #Crayola Crayons and #Marvel #AvengersAssemble

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Ever since he was little, Nathan has been exposed to art at home, school and Sunday school, and in the community from various family, friends, and teachers! He is now enjoying coloring with crayons and markers plus learning to focus on completing his artwork as well!! In our home, we love Marvel Super heroes from Iron Man, Thor, and the rest of the Avengers!! One of Crayola coloring sheets has Avengers Assemble theme which is great for Nathan's interest in super heroes, including Iron Man and Thor, which are both his favorites from Marvel!! Above is one of his finished artwork featuring Iron Man all in red armor "playing catch" with Captain America! And of course, Nathan writes his name "Nathan K" to show the world that he did this artwork!
(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I feel blessed as mom to see the growth and maturity of seeing my Nathan doing more coloring, drawing, and writing with less or no "hand over hand" instruction or guidance!! He is learning to color within the lines and no "white spaces" as well, such as coloring Captain America's "Timberlands" or as Nathan would say "Tims" entirely in brown!
(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Another masterpiece featuring Thor and Hawkeye in which wanted Thor to look more like the pictures he has seen in books and first Thor and first Avenger Movies!! But he wanted the background to be yellow and Hawkeye in purple from head to toe!!  And now he wants to finished color all of his blank art sheets in his Crayola Avengers Assemble set!! I will continue to post Nathan's progressive in his artistic abilities through his artwork!!

Until next time....

#BookReview #May2016 #SeeMe by #NicholasSparks

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I have just finished reading one of the latest novels by New York Times Bestseller Nicholas Sparks called "See Me" which follows a difficult romance laced with adventure/suspense between the troubled Collin with a past that he wants move beyond and Maria who is lawyer haunted by a past court case!! Placed in the North Carolina (if you are an avid read of Nicholas Sparks' novels, most of his stories happen in the Carolinas!!) these two unlikely characters forged a struggling trust between each other while both confront their pasts decisions to shape a possible future with each other!! But in the midst of this struggling romance is an haunting past that seeks revenge against Maria and those her are close to her heart!! I literally couldn't stop putting this book down because I want to know "what happens to Collin/Maria/Creepy Revenge Person " in each of these chapters!!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I love reading the insert of the novels to get an "idea" about what this story is about and I love that "See Me" is not a "perfect romance" but deals with real people that want to move forward with their lives when past lives or mistakes just don't seem to let you go and be free!! Real relationships need to have trust factors and really tests the limits about how far you or your partner is willing to open up about their hurts, mistakes, trials, doubts, and forgiving themselves and others! I think this romance novel sets itself a part from other "typical romance" novels!! And I love reading about Maria and her closeness with her family and how they help out her and Collin!!
(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I know I have seen a few movies and read a few books but I think this summer I would like to read or re-read these novels and watch the movies as well!! I love the Notebook the BEST and the movie based on this novel!!
(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I wouldn't mind in the future to travel to one of his booksignings and other movie premires in the future since I love his novels including the characters and their romances!! :)

Until next time...

#LifewithNathan Raising An #Adventrous and #Healthy Eater on #PizzaNight

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Nathan loves to eating and where he puts it on his growing 5 ft slim body I don't even know!! Nathan lives with Autism but regardless of  certain myths or misunderstandings he is an Adventrous Eater, loves to cook, and will eat everything on his plate!! For instance, he loves homemade pizza and salad (adult portion...not kid size)!! This summer with school being out I want to teach him basic cooking skills including fixing his bowl of cereal independently, more practice with making salads, and other basic meals that kids or teen chefs know how to do!! I hope with my humble budget that I can get more organic, nutritous, and different foods in my weekly cart as best as possible! Follow my #LifewithNathan post here on my blog for more food adventures with Nathan!! And if you want to help support Nathan's culinary skills or suggestions of foods that may want to try feel free to contact me here or my email ursulamball@gmail.com !!

Until next time...
