Holiday Break #Bookreview of #ThePerfectHorse by #ElizabethLetts

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I love a good horse story from "Black Stallion" to "War Horse" and here is another great story before, during, and after World War II called "The Perfect Horse" by Elizabeth Letts!! I love reading about history from different perspectives between the Americans and Europeans on different causes but came together to save a group of precious horses that would have been lot forever during the horrible war! Filled with great pictures along with stories of the people who loved and cared for horses, I just couldn't put this book down and wanted to know what will become of the people and horses in this book during Christmas Break!!

The author has done an amazing job in researching the countless sources for the stories of the horses and the people that were forever touched by them!

So many wonderful pictures to accompanied the chapters of the story of the rescued horses and the people that risked their lives to save them!!

I love good maps that showed where the characters went or traveled in great story but wished they included the horses that tracked in the United States, of course that is my personal view!! If you love History or Horse lover then you need to pick up this book today at your local library or book store!

Until next time....

Which is Which for #ManiMonday with #SCKJ Nailpolishes in #TaupeisChic and #KittyPink

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I have two shades in this Sinful Colors Kylie Trend Matters Collection that is had to tell apart unless really up close! The polish on my DIY manicure above is "Taupe is Chic" which satin texture nude/light pink polish which I did one coat and dries in less than a minute!! This is also the polish that Kylie Jenner is wearing in the picture!! This nude polish color does compliment my skin tone very well with a very slight hint of pink in it!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

This polish is almost a twin of the above polish except for the glimmer in the polish which is called "Kitty Pink" which is also a satin polish which looked good on me as well!!

I enjoyed trying both of these nudish pink polishes from Sinful Colors and can't wait to use them in the future!!

Until next time...

What better way to brighten up a cloudy January day than a pop of vibrant pink with this Sinful Colors Kylie Trend Matters Satin Polish in "Fushia U!" I love pink...alot...so I used this polish on both of my DIY manicure and pedicure to brighten my mood after being snow in for a while!! #Foodreview #Purdue Oven Ready Whole Seasoned Roaster for #SundayDinner

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

So on a Snowy Sunday afternoon, I tried out this Perdue Oven Ready Whole Seasoned Roaster which I got on sale at my local Kroger grocery store!! I grew up eating Perdue Chicken and sometimes when you are not feel well I do used prepped food meals to reduce the amount of time in the kitchen so I can recover my strength!! Two hours later, I enjoyed a juicy, flavorful roast chicken for my Sunday dinner that was season just right!! I enjoyed cooking but when I need extra help in the kitchen, I can count on this chicken product again in the future!!

This chicken was so well marinade that it was sliding off the bone after being fully cooked!!

#NewYearNewYou First #Emptiesreview for #January2017 including #Soapbox, #Cargo, #Fave4, and #HumNutrition

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Happy New Year's to everyone and now that everything is back on track (had several health/tech delays but anyway...) and I want to share my December Empties review of all my beauty and lifestyle items that I used up during the last part of 2016!! I have been making good goals in cleaning out my samples and other products before buying anything brand new so read more what I loved and most like try or buy again for the New Year below!!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Now that the holidays are officially over, I don't want eating any sweet for a while except when I have a chocolate craving (those are different) in which I love nibbling a little bit of the good stuff ...Lindt!! I love both the Chili and the Pumpkin spice which I can't wait to buy in the future!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I enjoyed using these hair products from Carol's Daughter including the Monoi hairspray and Black Vanilla hair oil, Soapbox Coconut and Shea Conditioner which you can get at Target for $5, and enjoyed two products from Birchbox which is the Saphira hair mask and Fave4 smoothing cream!! All of these hair products except for Soapbox are pricey so I have to wait for very good deal but will use them again for my dry, relaxed hair!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I love using masks on my dry facial skin and enjoyed using SheaMoisture Clarifying Mud Mask on my face for impurities and breakouts, finished up using WEI Beauty sample masks in Brown Sugar and Anti-wrinkle which I got last Spring, and loved trying out Leaders USA Kbeauty Himalayan face mask which super hydrated my dry skin overnight!! While SheaMoisture packets are really inexpensive like under $3, I have to wait for a good deal for the other masks since they are considered moderate to high end brands that Birchbox carries that I got via points or monthly sample box!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

All these makeup samples I got via Birchbox monthly boxes or deluxed boxes when I cashed in my Birchbox points but these are very pricey but good makeup brands from Cargo, Stila, Supergoop, Milk Makeup, Make Beauty and Mally Beauty !! Highly recommend these brands when on sale or great deal!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Here are several lifestyle brands that I will definitely buy again for my nails, soaking my feet, soothing my dry throat, and fueling my body like Hum Nutrition Raw Beauty which I tried via Birchbox which is pricey but power house of greens and other stuff that I will normally not eat by it self but rather in a Chocolate Mint flavored drink instead!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I tried this perfume sample via Birchbox and while its a nice scent its too price to get right now but perfect for the evening!!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I love Derm e skincare brands including the anti-wrinkle and Tea Tree creams above and now that they are changing the packaging I have found them relatively inexpensive at Kroger's, Target, and Walgreens and the The Body Shop body cream is amazing for my dry skin especially at nighttime which I can readily buy at my local TJMaxx store but used my sister's instead (she couldn't take overseas so....)!!

Thank you for checking out my Empties post for December and stay tuned for the end of this month for my January Empties Review!!

Until next time....

#NewYearNewYou First #Bookreview by #VinegarGirl by #AnneTyler

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

What better way to start the New Year than with a book review with another book by the talented Anne Tyler (I did a review on Blue Thread over a year ago!) which is the modern retelling of William Shakepeare's The Taming of the Shrew! The characters in this modern retelling still rings about the town's eligible but quick tongue Kate is determined to remain to be "Miss Independent"regardless of the thoughts of well-meaning townsfolk! In a twist of fate due to her father's scientific research, Kate and foreign assistant, Pyotr, become the newest couple!!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I enjoyed reading each character's difficult layers about their perspectives, joys and pains especially Kate's due to the lost of her mother in her early childhood molds her adulthood about her identity and life choices!! Plenty of hilarious plots throughout the book, I highly recommend reading this book in the new year!

This is the second book after reading " A Spool of Blue Thread" that I have enjoyed from Anne Tyler!!

Until next time...
