It took a month of March to complete it but Nathan and I completed this Lego City Volcano Crawler set creating the Lego people, rover and orange lava boulder/blue crystal, and creating this construction vehicle in different stages esp creating "tank wheels" and the final part is the big yellow drill!! My son loves volcanoes in the movies so that is part of the motivation of this Lego set!! From a STEM perspective, Nathan learns how everything works and gets connected and creative play with the Lego people!

At the first weekend of March, we went to Home Depot Kids Workshop where Nathan made this water gauge!! Using his tool set that he got for Christmas, Nathan hammered the wooden pieces together and then chose the paint colors to paint it!! He loves being in a supportive, inclusive community of kids and family members building and painting together!! Can't wait for the next one in April!

My family has grown up watching Disney movies and discovered one that Nathan will want to see over and over...Moana!! First off, Nathan loves water and sea creatures plus a good balance of kids and animals which Moana delivers!! The first five or ten minutes is pure magic and joy on my son's face from hearing Native Hawaiian music and mythology being told through this movie!! He loves Moana and Maui and their adventures across the ocean!! Highly recommend this movie!! :)

Last Saturday, Nathan and I went to the local Toys R Us for their Lego Mini Build featuring the talking Candle from the movie, Beauty and the Beast!!  We and several kids and parents had fun creating this Lego creation and Nathan received several hugs from the Moms in the group and a very special little girl gave her Lego candle to my son as a gift!! Felt so very blessed as a single mom and Autism mom when we finally able to attend at this event and many more!! Afterwards, Nathan and I had a picture taken with the ....

Power Rangers, in honor of the newest re-boot and next generation of actors becoming the iconic, super heroes of Jason, Billy, Trini, Zack, and Kimberly who are the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!! So cool to be taking a Mother/Son pic in front of the Red Power Ranger and hope to see the movie later at the local $2 movie theater!!

Well that pretty sums up what Nathan and I have been doing among other activities for this March!

Until next time...

Also, ladies posted what makes them feel "Pretty Mighty" and posted on social media including myself (see picture at the end of this blog post!).  I just recently had a relaxer touch up early this month so I am glad that this curated Birchbox got my fave Davines Ol All in One Milk (Full-size, $32) and Davines Ol Shampoo + Conditioner (Full-size, $26 - $32) for my long, relaxed hair but helps against dry scalp and ends to encourage healthy hair growth! In all honest I need another duo packet for cause now my hair is shoulder blade long and I need sometimes a second shampoo plus 2 of those conditioner packets because I deep conditioned for 15 to 20 minutes! Pricey due to being salon brand but very eco-friendly Italian hair care brand!

UPDATE: I have tried both the packets and Milk Spray which all smelled so good during and after shampooing, conditioning, and styling!! My hair not only smelled good but feel good without any unnecessary weighing down of certain ingredients but my hair felt smooth, conditioned and natural shine!! Highly recommend to wavy, long, and chemically processed hair types! :)

Although I don't have a "thickening" problem for my diverse hair type but I do need style control for the upcoming warm, humid months after April in which I will find  R + Co DALLAS Thickening Spray (Full-size, $28) very handy! I have tried pass R + Co salon products via Birchbox with great results so I look forward testing style product out!

I love this high end moisturizer which I tried via Influenster and glad that Birchbox and Reese put it in this curated box due to temperature changes and windy conditions associated with Spring! I used this  Clarins Hydra Essential Silky Cream - Normal to Dry Skin (Full-size, $48) for morning and night skincare routine which helps with my dry facial skin! I hope to try this luxe skincare in the future!

I love trying out Benefit makeup and skincare products and glad to try out this popular Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer (Full-size, $31) for my makeup routine! I don't have pore issues but I have dry skin and blemish issues plus I am glad its for all diverse skin types!! Goes on smooth and really helps for foundation application without feeling "heavy" on my skin! Thank you, Birchbox!

I give this curated "Pretty Mighty" March Birchbox a rating of "6 out of 6" because I love the products that I have already tried plus pretty exited to test out new items as well!!

#StPatricksDay Celebrating #Irish Heritage with Food, Family, and Fun

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Well, its that time of the year in March where everyone goes green esp for clover, leprechauns, and pots of gold which is St. Patrick's Day for everyone who is Irish, has Irish decent, or wishes to being Irish for the day!! I will discuss a few of the traditions my family celebrations with stories, food, and fun!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Food is pretty big counting down to St. Patrick's Day weekend especially really good treats like Kerrygold cheese and butter which is on sale and really taste good thanks to happy, grass-fed cows from Ireland!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

My Mom made chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting in green and white!! Only one cupcake reminding today!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Some more butter, cheese, and cabbage for Irish inspired dishes! :)

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

This is my mac and cheese in which I used several Cheddar cheeses including Boar's Head and small bit of Adam's Reserve plus used Kerrygold Butter!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

My Mom's Turkey Pot Pie! We love pot pies and Shepard's pies in this family with tasty crust, savory gravy, and mixture of meat and veggies!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Several popular family-friendly movies that we love over the year's including Disney's Brave, Song of the Sea, and something for me afterwards called Leap Year with Amy Adams.

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Above is my simple St.Patty's Day makeup and fashion look with using my current green wardrobe, easy hairdo, and current makeup samples for an easy green look!

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

My son, Nathan loves water and sea creatures so I recycled an old Chloe and Isabel box and helped draw the giant Squid and giant Shark. When ask who will win, my son said "The Shark" will eat the Squid and win!

So that is a little bit of family traditions that my family did to celebrate St.Patrick's Day and hopefully we can do a little more next year!

Until next time....

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Set in Seattle, Washington, bouncing between past and present Kailey has two paths set before her that will lead to lasting love between her current fiance, Ryan, and her past love of her life, Cade. One man successful and one man once successful hit hard times. But which of these bonds are the strongest!!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Readers of my blog, you know that I love reading the insert before deciding to further read this book!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Love these two quotes that the author, Sarah, put in her novel about the type of love in this story!

 (Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

More than just a romance novel, I like how the author show the complexity of finding, losing, and rediscovering love again within this love triangle!! I also love the relationship with her gal pal and her family as well which all play a part on Kailey's choice of the right man for her life! I highly recommend this book for a great Spring read!

Hair Update #MizaniButterBlendRelaxer Touch up At Salon School

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

Earlier in March, I answered an ad at a local salon school that need a hair model for relaxing session for a junior stylist!! I came in later and stylist C did a great job on my roots that needed a touch up (last time was the first Friday of this Year!). After assessing my hair, Stylist C applied Mizani Butter Blend Relaxer which I have been using since going to this Loreal based salon school on my hair for years! After relaxing and styling, my hair was long, healthy and shiny and has hair length pass my shoulder blades (next goal, waist long hair!). I am very happy with my stylist and my experience at the salon!!
