So excited to received and tried my May Edition Box inspired by Emily of "Cupcakes and Cashmere" lifestyle blog from Birchbox!! The theme was "Elevate Everyday Living" and the items that I received in this box helped elevated my everyday living!! I tried all my goodies in my May Edition box with included subscription to Domino magazine and an awesome pasta recipe (See Below!!)

I also received and tested 5 samples/trial size products in my May Edition box as well (See Below)!!

English Laundry Notting Hill Femme (Full Size, $90)
Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment (Full Size, $40)
Naobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturizer (Full Size, $36)
Prescriptives False Eyelashes Plush Mascara (Full Size, $23)
Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Primer Water (Full Size, $32)

I decided to do a "Head to Toe" pampering by trying the Macadamia treatment first! After shampoo and conditioning my long relaxed hair, I used a quarter amount of this hair treatment and rubbed it into my hair, from mid length to ends! I blow out straight and then rubbed a dime size amount and smoothed it on my ends! It condition and shine without being greasy and kept my hair manageable in the humid summer heat!

I used Naobay cream on my cleansed face and it felt and smelled refreshing on my skin!  I love that it had avocado and olive oils plus it was effective natural/organic skin product! Plus, I did enjoyed the slight orange scent! Added bonus, you can use this cream both day and night!!

I prepped my face for makeup by trying Smashbox Primer Water! I have tried Smashbox primers before so I was curious how effective this primer will be!! I love how refreshing the spray was on my face and I kinda noticed that my makeup was a little easier to applied and didn't smudged at all after I set my face with second application!! This product is perfect for makeup applications and offers cool refreshing affect during summer time weather! Great with ladies with dry skin, too!

After applying a neutral eye palette to my eye look, I finished it with Prescriptives False Eyelashes!  I have never purchased "falsies" not tried false eye mascaras until now! I love the plushy brush and applied to my lashes which made them look fuller and defined without clumps!! I love the shade of black as well! (See the silver mascara tube below)

Last, I finished my "Head to Toe" pampering with English Laundry sample!  I have heard that this is popular brand from Birchbox and this is my first time sampling it!  Notting Hill Femme made me think instantly about the movie "Notting Hill" featuring Julia Roberts and I instantly fell in love with this classic floral fragrance!!  This perfume had notes bergamot, lemon, peppercorns, and wood which is the perfect light summer scent for me!!

So, I gave the rating for this May Edition of Cupcakes and Cashmere box a rating of "5 out of 5" because I loved all 5 samples/trial products which did elevated my beauty lifestyle! Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere loved her all time faves Smashbox Primer and Prescriptives Mascara!  Until next time :)

    1. Love how it feels, moisturizes, and helps with before/after makeup applications! The only down size its pricey versus getting drugstore/mass retail brand L'oreal makeup setting spray which is under $20!

    1. After cleansing and moisturizing your face, spray 8 - 10 inches onto your face then give it a 1 minute and apply your makeup as primer. Afterward makeup application, spray again to set your makeup!

I love the results of this product :)

  7. It seems like everyone gets better BirchBox products than me. I am really jealous that you got the SmashBox face spray and the Mascara. My May box did not have either one of those! Lucky you Ursula!

    1. Don't judge a Birchbox by its cover!! Sometimes I get a box that that has 2 or 3 items that I am not thrilled but here is what I do since its a sample box:

      1) Enter your review on the sample product (earn your 10 pts towards a future purchase online)

      2) Use a sample as a small gift to a new Mom, your Bestie, or Friendenemie! Nothing lights up another woman than the gift of beauty! :)

      3) Update your beauty profile as it doesn't stay the same!

      Hope this helps Tee!
