My #SpiceVoxBox for December via #Influenster

(Source: Influenster)

"I have received this complimentary box from Influenster and all of my comments are my own!"

Over a month ago, Influenster selected me to received and review a #SpiceVoxBox for the Holidays which had various health, beauty, and goodies to try and give a honest review!

I finally received my #SpiceVoxBox in the mail and was truly horrified how most of the contents was damaged/missing! Of course, I consulted with Influenster in which I had to make do with what I already received do to the nature of selection and receiving process! So I will continue to do a honest review of the products that I have received in my #SpiceVoxBox!!

I did not received Botanics Organic Hydrating Day Cream, Foot Petals, and Yogi Tea based on my survey and items that I have reviewed recently at Influenster which I was extremely bummed because I do use Day Cream and drink Herbal Teas during the Winter months! The bag for the Good Health Veggie Straws was busted at the top and contents was throughout the box which was another bummed moment because not only myself but my kid would have loved to sample a fun & healthy snack so we had to tossed it! We both can't risk contamination due to our health histories (Crohn's Disease for me while my child is Autistic)! But have no fear readers and fellow Influensters, I was able to try out most of the products below:

I have tried the SoapBox Shampoo & Conditioner that came in my #SpiceVoxBox enjoyed using this for my relaxed hair! The shampoo was clear, sulfate- and paraben - free, and produced low suds when I worked it in my hair for refreshing clean feeling!! I like the smell of the shampoo which smelled like "coconuts"! Then I used the conditioner which was massaged into my scalp and then shower comb before using a lukewarm rinse! My hair felt conditioned with the Shea Butter without feeling "greasy not heavy"! Plus it smelled similar to the shampoo which is great to have in fresh, washed hair! I would recommend this product that wants a great product while doing good for another community!

After shampooing and conditioning, I used Not Your Mother's Whip It Up Cream Styling Mousse in wet hair and tried an air dried style on this unusually warm December morning!! You don't have to use a lot of this mousse which came out in tennis ball amount (whoops!) and worked it into my damp hair strands and used a wide tooth comb to distribute it from root to end!  I like the pleasant vanilla smell which reminded me like a vanilla butter cream frosting!

The next day, I re-styled my hair again but used a Blow Dry to help managed the "kinks" for more control volume! I preferred the next day blow dry hair versus the natural, air dry look for my relaxed hair!

This is my first time using a gel polish so I am learning as well as trying out SinfulColors SinfulShine Nail Polish in a rich blue color! First coat is the blue gel polish and Second Coat is the clear top coat polish in the black bottle!  I had to re-polish my nails because I didn't let it dry longer than regular polish so when I applied the top coat it made my nail coat slide and bleed in on several of my nails! After re-polish, I waited 2 hours before applying the top clear coat! I was not too fond of the smell from the polish which is a little pugent! I think SinfulColors offer a non-light process for beginners to try gel polish!

My verdict for the box is  OK mainly because of the missing/damaged products that I expected after seeing the #SpiceVoxBox video and what came in the mail instead! I did enjoy the SoapBox Shampoo & Conditioner which offers a great product towards social good and the Not Your Mother's mousse! I will be participating in the Twitter Party on December 16 at 3 pm EST so I hope to see some of you there!

    1. Thank you, Brigette! I was planning on Nathan and myself to eat those Veggie Stix to show that family like ours can eat and enjoy different things and child like Nathan living with Autism can enjoy and get the necessary veggies at the same time!

    1. Thank you, Laura! The real trick is doing a honest review without "bad mouthing" the product/service/company! I hope they improved this aspect of consumer service so more influenster can do their blogging about these boxes!
