#ComfortFood Spicy Italian Sausage Rice

(Source: Blueridge Beauty Blogger)

I enjoyed making Italian Sausage rice on a cold day for myself and my Nathan, who really enjoys this dish! Not only its a great Comfort Food but its quick and budget-friendly, too! Starting with the tomato paste esp by Muir Glen which a great organic brand, using one can of paste and one can of water for the Italian Sausage mixture!

Love this Select brand that I got on sale and with coupon at my local Kroger's plus no nitrates and artificial additives is definitely on the right track for tasty and wholesome sausage to serve my family! I cut this sausage link in small slices and cuts!

Here is the brown rice that I already started cooking over 50 mins ago which I will add to the completed sausage and sauce mixture!

Here is all the ingredients that I will be using for my Italian Sausage rice dish: sausage, tomato paste and water, red bell peppers (I later added some more green and yellow bell peppers), onions, olive oil for saute, cracked black pepper, Italian seasoning, and sausage!

First, sauted the sausage, bell peppers, and onions until tender and heated through!

Then, I added the tomato paste and the water to the sausage mixture!

I added the cooked brown rice to this sausage mixture, blended it altogether, and ready to be served!

My son, Nathan, who is also a "Kid in the Kitchen" chef and "Big Helper" wanted Parmesan cheese which I don't mind on his rice! Family and Kid Approved Dish!!

What are your favorite rice dishes? What is your favorite Comfort Foods that you love cooking on a winter day?

Until next time...
