I enjoyed reading the adventures of Amani, who is abused orphan female in desert town of Dustwalk, of how she defied a terrible fate in an exchange for terrible danger along with a band of outlaws in the mythical desert nation of Miraji. This story is a equal measure of Arabian Nights meets the Wild, Wild West in which Amani uses her natural abilities including being a gifted gunslinger to win contest money to find her mom's sister in a far away city for a new beginning! Until meets Jin, a foreigner at a shooting contest, and figures to use him as a escape route from Dustwalk! But the desert nation under the cruel Sultan and competing foreign powers are both fighting for personal gains and united against the Rebel Prince and his resistance bands of citizens, both mortal and half-mortals, for a free and fair desert nation of Miraji!  Amani knows that if you are weak the desert is unforgiving to is inhabitants so she uses gifts and smarts to survive along with Jin among the mortal and immortal dangers of the desert where they both unlock secrets that can save them and their nation both! If you are looking for a great adventure story filled with magic and danger, then read "Rebel of the Sands" by Alwyn Hamilton!

Until next time...
