Holiday #Bookreview of #HarryPotterandtheCursedChild by #JKRowling

After a little bit of break in my book reviews, I currently back with one of  my favorite Fantasy Series of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with the latest book, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" by J.K. Rowling along with John Tiffany and Jack Thorne based on the play!  After the Battle of Hogwarts, all my favorite and infamous characters from the Harry Potter series are grown up with kids of their own!! If you have not read the book series nor watch the movies, then be prepared for surprises to what becomes of the classic characters plus additional new characters!! I waited so long until I found this book at my local college library and so I immediately checked it out and finished reading this book in three days!!

I personally love reading the brief summary about what the book is about and I can't wait to read further of the mysterious "Cursed Child" and his/her identity!

I love the quick part of "King's Crossing" which is also the same part towards the end of the final book of the Harry Potter series of  Harry and his friends being now parents and watching their children travel to Hogwarts!!

This part explains the prophesy that addresses to the children about the coming of the Dark Lord from the past!! What I gathered is the struggles of fathers and sons and both sets grappling with identity and destiny in the shadow of Harry's popularity as "the Boy who Lived now defeater of Voldemort" and Draco being a former Death Eater and the Malfoy family legacy! Although the story is fictional it does relate about parents and children being honest and having open communication between each other!

If you are Harry Potter fan or love a book that you can't put down, then I highly recommend reading this book and I personally hope to watch the play in the future, in personal or on video, for your holiday reading list!

Until next time....

  1. My Mother in law really wanted this book until she saw it was a screen play. I am still debating getting it for her for xmas or not. I think she'd really like it since she has read all the JK books (even the ones under another name). You make it sound so good.
