In March, the local Young Professionals of Central Virginia hosted a networking event each month at local restaurant or venue, this evening we attended the renovated Locust Thicket which dates back to the Revolutionary War here in Lynchburg, VA!! This site serves meals, wines, and hosts special events as well by the current owners and staff! One of the many advantages of attending Young Professionals is getting connected with professionals and sites in the area that normally you would have miss out on the opportunity of knowing!

On the renovated wall of one of the dining areas is this timeline about the founding of this house and property through the Revolutionary and Civil Wars up to the present! During the tour, the owner/staff showed the various rooms and history of Locust Thicket to us young professionals!

This is the "Chef's Table" where a small group can reserve and dine on a custom menu by the chef and taste the wines available!

Thinly sliced Virginia Ham with chow chow spread on a toasted bread was a favorite among the guests!
